Hello! I’m Campbell Walker, an undergraduate creative writing student at the University of Mary Washington. There’s a lot that I could mull over here—I like Coke Zero more than diet, you’re not cooking eggs unless you’re cooking them over-hard—but all that’s trivial and I hate wasted time. I’m a yearner first and foremost; creativity sits in my chest like a bonfire. I adore creating and rarely does it matter what for. This website is yet another one of those endeavors, an opportunity to stretch outside of my comfort zone and into the historical. It’s also a catharsis, a means of revisiting a story I knew needed to be told. The hope is that this, along with similar projects, will act as a foundational portfolio to prove my skills. The door is open to many professions, but I have a full intent to continue writing, history or not. You have other places to be, however. Reading about me will only tell you so much, so go catch the settling tide—or, something like that. I’m probably in need of a better tag line.
